In studying the Apostle Paul's life by scripture, the before Saul (on top of the world mentality) being humbled to the converted Paul teaches more things besides conversion of faith, the need of church plants, and thirteen epistles (letters) penned ultimately by the Spirit of God ultimately for edification. The more to learn is a lesson called enischyo (to regain- strengthened.) The Apostle experienced the need "to regain" (physically and spiritually) as being both Saul and Paul. As Saul, he fought to regain leverage in Judaism against Christianity as an effective man of faith (effective at the time in propagating Judaism.) As Paul, he fought to regain being a man of effective faith dealing with the Judaism's distrust and Christian's questionings (at the time of propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ.) When something needs to be regained, it makes one think and live in steps or short-term intervals to protect things to be maintained. As Saul, he thought and lived in short-term assignments (in steps) such as specifically hindering the movement of Christianity to remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast attempting to maintain the ultimate assignment of maintaining Judaism's stature. As Paul, he thought and lived in short-term assignments (in steps) to remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast to maintain finishing his race (the end of his final season- his final assignment.) In steps-interval seasons such as (just to name a few): Interval seasons of parresiazomai -speaking boldly meaning speaking fearlessly, freely, and publicly having the connotation of doing it in times and manners that knowingly will not be accepted but also knowing that the Spirit of God demands these manners (fearless, freely, and publicly) in order to accomplish desired spiritual breakthroughs; interval seasons of still needing to impart into lives when not physically being able to be present; interval seasons of imparting into lives when being able to be physically present; interval seasons of correction; interval seasons of comfort for both him and others whether present or not present and the list goes with interval seasons until his (the Apostle's) last assignment.
A main point here is that each interval season had it's own start and finish which accomplished the Apostle to think and live in short-term finishes helping keep him remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast until his last assignment. As much as Paul had to go through to successfully maintain to his last assignment, he had to think and live in a manner that helped him remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast. In his last days closing nearing his last assignment, he acknowledged his "then assignments" (his previous interval assignments-seasons) while in his arrived at the moment season still acknowledging upcoming interval assignments-seasons taking him to his eventual final assignment. The Apostle thought and lived in "assignment by assignment" which greatly helped him remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast until his last assignment. I exhort you to think and live in "assignment by assignment" to help you remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast focusing on interval-seasonal-short term finishes until you reach your last assignment. You and your families have a beautiful day and share this devotion with others for their strategy to remain fresh, motivated, and steadfast until the end of their last assignments.
"And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were in Damascus. And straightway he preached Christ in synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him was amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on his name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring bound unto the chief priests?" Acts 9:19-21
"And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took him, and brought him unto the apostles, and declared unto the how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken unto him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. And he was with them coming in and out at Jerusalem. And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went bout to slay him" Acts 9:26-29
"For I long to see you, that I might impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles" Romans 1:11-13
"Therefore, I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me unto edification, and not to destruction" 2 Corinthians 13:10
"If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that if I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Philippians 3:11-14
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1
