Today's devotion is an encouragement. Stay with me through the entire message I promise you encouragement. However, it's an encouragement that has to be searched for and discover in the midst of a real life challenging (dealing continuous rebellion - continuous unrepentance.) This is a good thing because life has challenges and encouragement should be searched for and discovered in challenges. If not, then challenges steal encouragements and we don't want that
I would like to educate you briefly on a way it is obedient to discontinue speaking about valuable (Godly) principles. Heart conditions that don't want Godly principles such as prejudices, inequality, etc. continue to hear things of worldly value within their circles (the world loves it's own) but with God (in midst of God being patient and forbearing) things spoken of Godly value can discontinue authorized by God in circles specifically that are continuously rebellious to him (God.) The bible teaches that with continuous rebellion-unrepentance measures can go even beyond not hearing Godly things spoken. God can take measures as far as turning a rebellious-unrepentant heart over to Satan. Bottom line, unhealthy heart conditions severely hinder receiving things of God (i.e. - rejecting things of God hinder the things of God.) Think about this: Even Salvation (a valuable thing of God) which can't be earned even requires an eventual Godly heart condition (no more stubbornness) called surrender. In worldly circles is there an expectation of receiving salvation with surrendering? If so, Godly things that parallel surrendering should be understood just like surrendering is understood as Godly. Therefore, prejudices, qualities, etc. should be gone. Accepting one Godly principle is to accept all Godly principes. Is there existing resistance and rebellion when God cuts off hearing Godly things? It happens all the time. Well, "saying nothing" is a biblical principle just like surrendering is a biblical principle. Again, to accept one Godly principle (surrendering) is to accept all Godly principles (one being saying nothing about Godly things in specific circumstances.)
In my isolated experiences, meaning in my small survey (small compared to a worldwide survey), there has been major fear to carry out challenging biblical principles (such as cutting off biblical things being spoken) that attempt to make this world a better place I happen to agree with a common consensus of most of The Church Fathers which is martyred faith. Here's the transparent encouragement: When Jesus was saying "say nothing" about Godly things, Jesus was attempting to get people stop and think about their heart conditions and hopefully the Spirit of God changes their hearts to ultimately start accepting and receiving principles of God (Jesus taught that in some circumstances "saying nothing "is a viable option.) Lastly, beyond the historical fact of biblical events of Jesus, I personally have practiced this "saying nothing" principle and witnessed both circumstances reconcile amongst people and reconcile with God. I have experienced continuous rebellion also, however, saying nothing can work. It's all about pleasing God and possessing the things of God which inevitably is good stuff for self, relationships, and cultures. Saying nothing can honestly get some to stop and think which trigger beautiful things of God (respect, restoration, reconciliation, peace, salvation, and the list goes on.) You and your families have a wonderful day and share this devotion with others to be conscious of saying nothing being a viable option which can trigger things to be manifested to make things better. Why shouldn't we try all of God's viable options? We have to do whatever it takes (lawfully) to make things better.
