"Didn't get it, don't worry, it's working for good" ~ Author Charles L. Robinson Jr.

This week's devotion is a word purposed to encourage you to put and keep disappointment under your foot. A message inspired to challenge various means tempting to trick-divert mentalities and beliefs from victory. Again, it's a word to put and keep disappointment under your foot. Think and walk in your victory!

What do you do when you don't get what you want? There are two basic options: 1) respond by not continuing in life in a manner pleasing to God in the midst of various outcomes, and 2) respond by continuing in life consistently pleasing to God irrelevant of the outcome. A major tip towards helping you to properly respond to various outcomes in life is to keep in proper perspective the issue of ownership. Ownership represents the one who possesses ultimate rights. Oftentimes ownership gets lost in the shuffle with stewardship. Stewardship represents managing in which the steward manages the owners stuff. Therefore, sometimes one can get lost in the shuffle "of whose" they are (the Lord's) while being primarily (and sometimes solely) responsible for managing his (the Lord's) stuff (i.e.- personal callings, personal assignments, personal conduct including responses, etc.) Yes, the Lord owns-possesses sovereignty of all callings, assignments, conduct including responses, etc. and one is to simply manage his or her calling, assignment, and conduct including responses according to what pleases his or her owner (the Lord.) If not now, then eventually, every tongue should confess and every knee should bow.

Remembering ownership in conjunction with stewardship should greatly help you to slow down, think, and keep the Lord (the owner) in the midst your responses and continuations birthed from various outcomes especially that may not play out the way it's desired to play out. ( a side note to greater confirm this principle of ownership: Unfortunately, in these last days, when you ask the question - Whose is this Church? There is a response too many times with a person's name or group of people's name and not the Lord. It's Jesus's church.) Back to the context of ownership from the perspective of not getting what you want, here's a revelation for you to keep disappointment under your foot: Humbly and respectfully said, not getting what you want is a weak perspective and weak perspectives result to disappointments which inevitably keeps focus away from ownership (that's the trick, the enemy loves to keep you focused on the land of disappointment.) In contrast, mindfulness of ownership (the Lord) greatly helps you stay away from disappointment and strengthens you to continue in life (irrelevant of the outcome) responding properly pleasing the Lord because of a mind on the Lord.

For example, in Joseph's and Potiphar's wife relationship, both (Joseph and Potiphar's wife) didn't get what they wanted. Potiphar's wife wanted Joseph's heart and physical intimacy, she didn't get it. She had to lie (plant falsehood) about Joseph being physically with her in order for her to satisfy her real sense of desiring to physically be with Joseph. Joseph didn't want to be lied on plus dealing with the public's perspective of him birthed from a lie. Joseph didn't get what he wanted. Potiphar's wife responded improperly when she didn't get what she wanted, she planted falsehood. Joseph responded properly when he didn't get what he wanted. Joseph didn't lie (no falsehood) and continued not in any other deceitful means. Potiphar's wife got lost in the shuffle regarding ownership (of the Lord) in the midst of stewardship. Joseph remembered "whose he was" (the Lord's) in the midst of stewardship. Jospeh learned to greater properly respond. Although Joseph didn't get it (he didn't escape the falsehoods planted to the public), Joesph didn't worry, and it all worked towards the good. Check this out: Joseph's responding mindset of ownership (being the Lord's) actually led to his greater stewardship for the Lord dealing with Pharaoh who ruled over Potiphar and Potiphar's wife and remember Potiphar's wife was the very one who attempted to dig a hole for Joseph and bury him in it.

I leave you with this to meditate in this week: Everyone (males and females) know whose you are. Keep your mind on ownership in the midst of your stewardship. Allow ownership (being the Lord's) remind you that disappointment is nothing but a weak perspective when challenged by whose you are (the Lord's.) If you don't get it sometimes, don't worry, it's still working for the good (with God and man.) Share this devotion with others to encourage them regarding when it didn't or doesn't work out, don't worry, it's working for good!
