"Motivations to say and do" ~ Author Charles L. Robinson Jr.

Devotion for today:

In our recent devotions, we have somewhat dealt with the issue of self-consciousness regarding the meanings of biblical passages and how the passages apply to lives. Today's devotion deals with being self-conscious of the season before selecting passages and their meanings called motivation. Inother words, what causes you to act upon particular passages to say and do? Encouragement, exhortation, strengthening, growth, knowledge, and understanding are constants and strife-ill will/intent (hostile-unfriendly feelings) are nevers while topics and tones are lawful fluctuants. Encouragements, exhortations, strengthenings, growth, knowledge, and understandings (even as underlining motives of reproach and rebuke) should be the cause of wanting to say and do while strife-ill will/intent should never be thought of or fulfilled. Continue to say and do because you want to encourage, exhort, grow, and both achieve and impart knowledge-understanding. God bless you and your families!
